“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds” (Hebrews 10:24 NIV).
Marathon runners know there comes a point when you start getting a pain in your side that makes you want to give up. But if you have other people running with you, you can find the strength to continue to the finish line. The only way you’ll achieve your God-given goals is to have others involved in your life.
“In Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others” (Romans 12:5 NIV).
Marriage requires cement or it will fall apart.
Just like two boats that drift apart when they are not tied to one another.
There is a quadruple rope that makes sure the boats stay together:
– shared goals
– shared interests
– shared love
– shared belief in God
Never underestimate God’s power in your marriage.
When you are at the end, he will only just begin. When you are out of strength, he will hold you with his strong arm. When you are about to give up because you are tired, he will give you a thermal and make you soar like an eagle, high above dark and deep valleys.
He is the author of your marriage. He will lead it to a good end. All you have to do is take each other by the hand and put your hands in God’s hands. He will lead you. Every day. Every hour. He always has and always will.
Renew your marriage covenant, just the two of you, in God’s good presence.
